Russian Tea Cake Cookies


Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup finely chopped walnuts

  • 1 cup butter

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.

  2. Mix in salt, then flour, then nuts.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.

  4. Chill for one hour. Roll into 1-inch balls.

  5. Bake 10-12 minutes at 400°F.

  6. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar.

  7. Cool and roll once more in powdered sugar.
