Mary & Paul’s Anise Pizzelle


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon anise seeds

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 3 ½ cups flour

  • 1 ¼ cups sugar

  • ½ lb butter, melted

  • 6 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon anise extract


  1. Whisk together sugar and butter. 

  2. Add eggs in one at a time. 

  3. Add in anise extract, seeds, and baking powder.

  4. Add in flour a little at a time. Whisk all well.

  5. Add batter to pizzelle press as suggested by machine instructions.
