Amy’s Brussels Sprouts & Bacon

Serves 4-6.


Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Cayenne pepper

  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon

  • 1 cup Brussels sprouts

  • 1 head cabbage

  • 4 tablespoons butter


  1. Halve Brussels sprouts, chop cabbage, and mince garlic.

  2. Fry bacon until just crispy. Remove from pan along with excess grease.

  3. Over medium heat, add in butter and Brussels sprouts and cook until tender, around 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste.

  4. Add in chopped cabbage and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. When the cabbage is cooked, but still crisp (2-4 minutes), add the bacon back in, reduce heat to low and cook for another two minutes.
