Béchamel Sauce
Serves 6.
Ingredients
1 ½ teaspoon pepper
1 stick butter, cut into smaller chunks
4 ¼ cups milk
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons salt
Whisk together milk and flour in a saucepan until well combined. Add in salt and pepper.
Put pan over medium-low heat, add in butter, and stir continuously. Sauce will begin to condense. Once first bubbles appear, before the sauce starts to boil, remove from heat.
