Mary’s Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 cups flour
1 pound butter, softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Cream together butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
Add in salt and baking soda, and then flour a little at a time.
Chill for one hour.
Roll thin and cut out shapes.
Bake 7-10 minutes at 375°F.
Cool on a rack.
