Tay To’s Chocolate Ball cookies with red and green frosting


Ingredients

Frosting:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • Red and green food coloring

Cookies:

  • 1 ¼ cup butter

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 16-oz. can of Hershey’s syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 5 cups flour


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Cream together butter and sugar.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract and chocolate syrup.

  4. Add in salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves.

  5. Then add flour a little at a time.

  6. Shape into 1-inch balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet and cook 10 minutes.

  7. Let cool before frosting.

Frosting:

  1. Divide powdered sugar between two bowls.

  2. Add milk a spoonful at a time to each until getting a runny consistency.

  3. Color one red and one green and dip cookies in frosting.
